Airspace closures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, stemming from the current instability in the Middle East, have stranded multiple figures associated with EuroLeague basketball. The travel disruptions mean that several individuals are currently unable to depart the United Arab Emirates.
Partizan players Dylan Osetkowski and Shake Milton are reported to be among those stuck. Meridian Sport also indicates that Duane Washington remains in Dubai after traveling there during a recent national team break.
Partizan is reportedly seeking assistance from Dubai Basketball to help transport the trio back to Europe. Contingency plans include overland journeys to nearby nations such as Oman or Saudi Arabia, where international flights are still operational.
The situation also affects Fenerbahçe head coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius, with his club also reportedly working with Dubai Basketball to facilitate his return to Europe. A clear timeline for their departure remains uncertain as travel restrictions persist.
