16 Dec, 2025
Summary
- Enzo Alves Jr. called up to Real Madrid Castilla for first time.
- 16-year-old summoned due to significant player absences.
- He previously made his UEFA Youth League debut.
Enzo Alves Jr., the 16-year-old son of Real Madrid icon Marcelo, has been selected for the Real Madrid Castilla squad, marking a significant step in his burgeoning career. The young forward's inclusion comes as head coach Alvaro Arbeloa faces a depleted roster, with 16 players unavailable due to injuries, international duty, and the Africa Cup of Nations.
This call-up to the reserve team follows Enzo's recent debut in the UEFA Youth League against Olympiacos, where he showcased his potential. Arbeloa, who himself is a former Real Madrid player, has a history with Enzo, having previously given him his debut for the Juvenil A team last season.
With several key players absent, Arbeloa has delved into the academy to fill the gaps, bringing in Enzo alongside other promising youth talents. This opportunity presents a chance for Enzo Alves Jr. to further establish his own identity separate from his famous father's legacy.
