VfB Stuttgart's attacking midfielder, Bilal El Khannouss, has emerged as a late transfer target for several Premier League clubs, with Newcastle United reportedly making an enquiry. Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace are also linked with the 22-year-old Moroccan international.
Stuttgart is reportedly willing to consider offers above €40m for El Khannouss, who only recently completed a permanent move to the club. He brings with him experience from 32 Premier League appearances during the 2024/25 season while on loan at Leicester City.
El Khannouss joined Stuttgart on deadline day in the previous summer transfer window. Despite an excellent first half of the campaign, his consistency dipped after the Africa Cup of Nations, leading to reduced game time and a perceived slight when he was benched for the DFB-Pokal final.
However, his technical ability remains highly regarded. An injury to a teammate could even see him start Stuttgart's Bundesliga opener. Meanwhile, teammate Badredine Bouanani faces a more challenging competition for minutes and is likely to be loaned out.
