1 Dec, 2025
Summary
- EA FC 26 released Ronald Koeman Thunderstruck Icon SBC.
- SBC estimated cost is around 350,000 coins.
- Koeman's new item has defensive stats but lacks elite pace.
The EA FC 26 Ultimate Team has been updated with the Ronald Koeman Thunderstruck Icon SBC, presenting a new 89-rated version of the Dutch football legend. This special item arrives as part of the successful Thunderstruck promotion, which has featured numerous player and pack rewards. Gamers can now obtain this card through a series of squad building challenges.
The overall cost to complete the Ronald Koeman Thunderstruck Icon SBC is estimated at approximately 350,000 coins. While the card features impressive defensive statistics and the valuable Intercept+ PlayStyle, allowing it to play as a center-back or defensive midfielder, its elite status is questioned. Concerns include its height and lack of top-tier pace, which may not suit the current game meta.
Comparisons have been made to other top-tier defensive options, such as the Carlos Alberto vs Cafu Matchday pick, which is only slightly more expensive and potentially offers better performance for current gameplay trends. Players must weigh the cost and Koeman's attributes against these alternatives before investing heavily in the SBC.
