Duran Dominates: Perfect Inning Secures Phillies Win

Phillies closer Duran secured a save in Saturday's 4-3 win against the Dodgers, pitching a flawless inning without allowing any baserunners. This performance extended his remarkable season record, as he has now successfully converted all 12 of his save opportunities. Duran's contributions have been vital to the team's success, particularly with the club showing improved play under interim manager Don Mattingly.

Across 17.2 innings pitched this season, Duran has posted an impressive 1.53 earned run average and a 0.96 walks plus hits per inning pitched (WHIP). He has demonstrated excellent control, recording 26 strikeouts against only 5 walks. His recent stretch includes seven saves and one loss over his last eight appearances, allowing just a single run with a 12:2 strikeout-to-walk ratio in that span.
