Summary
- The Anaheim Ducks are facing elimination in the Western Conference Semifinals.
- Jack Eichel leads the league with 14 assists in the current postseason.
- Vegas is dealing with absences of key players Mark Stone and Brayden McNabb.
The Anaheim Ducks are fighting to extend their Western Conference Semifinals series against the Vegas Golden Knights, facing elimination in Game 6 on Thursday, May 14. This has been a closely contested series, with neither team achieving consecutive wins.
Vegas's forward Jack Eichel has been instrumental, leading the postseason with 14 assists. His consistent playmaking has been a significant factor for the Golden Knights.
However, Vegas is potentially weakened by the absence of Mark Stone and the one-game suspension of defenseman Brayden McNabb. This could create an opportunity for the Ducks to force a decisive Game 7 on the road.
Goalie Carter Hart has shown recent improvement for Vegas, while Lukas Dostal has been steady for Anaheim, though he has allowed three goals in his last three starts. The unpredictable nature of the series suggests another tight contest.
