During his tenure, he accumulated eight goals and 25 assists, totaling 33 points, and registered 94 blocks. In the recently concluded 2025-26 season, Fortescue recorded 14 points in 36 games, with 34 blocks ranking second on the team. He had previously committed to Boston College on August 2, 2021, expressing his dedication to his hockey and academic journey. Fortescue was selected by the Rangers as the 90th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. He had initially planned to play his junior year at Boston College for further development, aiming for a professional jump after the 2025-26 season. Fortescue now joins former teammate Gabe Perreault in the Rangers' organization. This season, Boston College finished with a 20-15-1 overall record and ranked 17th nationally, missing the NCAA Tournament.
