25 Jun
Summary

- Reports suggest Ewers may be performing as well as or better than Willis.
- Ewers has demonstrated consistent year-over-year growth since his rookie season.
Recent Dolphins Organized Team Activities (OTAs) have featured a notable quarterback competition between Malik Willis and Quinn Ewers. Reports from media attendees suggest Ewers has been performing on par with, or even exceeding, Willis in some practice sessions. Over six open OTA sessions, analysts noted varying advantages for each quarterback, with some assessments indicating a close contest.
Willis's performance aligns with expectations following his free-agent signing, solidifying his current position as the probable starter due to his contract. However, Ewers has consistently improved year over year since his rookie season. This trajectory raises the possibility of Ewers genuinely contending for the starting quarterback role, particularly if he continues his development and an injury mid-season presents an opportunity.
