The Los Angeles Dodgers are preparing for a highly anticipated three-game Freeway Series against the Los Angeles Angels. This series marks the first encounter between the two Southern California rivals this season, with both fanbases vying for bragging rights.
The Dodgers enter the series with a record of 26-18, having recently reclaimed first place in the National League West. They are looking to build momentum after salvaging a four-game series against the San Francisco Giants, where they won the final two games to split the series.
Conversely, the Los Angeles Angels are struggling with a 16-28 record. They are coming off a demoralizing series where they were swept by the Cleveland Guardians. The Angels will aim to turn their season around against their crosstown rivals.
The series will feature several key pitching matchups. Game one features Dodgers' lefty Blake Snell against the Angels' Jack Kochanowicz. Game two pits Justin Wrobleski for the Dodgers against the Angels' José Soriano. The final game will see Roki Sasaki of the Dodgers face off against an Angels pitcher to be announced.
