Dodgers Dominate All-Star Lineup
5 Jul
Summary
- Four Dodgers stars elected as starters for the All-Star Game.
- Shohei Ohtani led all players in All-Star voting for the first time.
- The Dodgers will have five representatives in the All-Star Game.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will have a strong presence at the upcoming 2026 All-Star Game, scheduled for July 14 in Philadelphia. Five Dodgers players have been selected to the National League roster.
Four of these selections are fan-elected starters: designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, first baseman Freddie Freeman, third baseman Max Muncy, and center fielder Andy Pages. This marks the most fan-elected starters for the Dodgers since 1980.
Shohei Ohtani achieved a notable milestone by leading all Major League players in the first phase of All-Star voting. This is the third time a Dodger has been the overall leading vote-getter since fan balloting resumed in 1970.
Starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto rounds out the Dodgers' contingent. This is Yamamoto's second consecutive All-Star selection. However, due to his pitching rotation, he is unlikely to participate in the game itself.
