Roberts Regrets Dodgers' Ohtani Injury Process

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has expressed regret from the organization regarding their handling of Shohei Ohtani's injury. Ohtani is set to miss at least six of the team's last seven games.

According to Roberts, Ohtani did not properly communicate his discomfort until Tuesday when he entered the batting cages. This was after Ohtani had played in four games over the previous four days since his last appearance.

Placing Ohtani on the injured list presents a challenge, as it would require a minimum 15-day absence, potentially leaving him with only a handful of games remaining in the season. An earliest return date could be September 23rd.
