The Paris Masters' first round on November 3, 2026, features a highly anticipated match between 10th seed Novak Djokovic and the in-form Valentin Vacherot.
Djokovic, a seven-time champion at this event, faces a tough opener. He arrives following a Round of 16 exit at the Swiss Indoors Basel, despite winning the China Open earlier in October. He will be looking to improve his recent performance.
Vacherot is on an impressive run, having just claimed the Basel title. He defeated strong opponents including Holger Rune, Taylor Fritz, and Jiri Lehecka en route to the championship. His recent success on indoor hard courts, including last year's Shanghai Masters win, makes him a confident contender.
Adding intrigue to the fixture is their head-to-head record: Vacherot leads Djokovic 1-0. Their sole previous meeting occurred at the 2025 Shanghai Masters semifinals, where Vacherot won in straight sets. This past victory gives Vacherot a psychological edge as he aims for another upset against the Serbian star.
