Browns Keep All 4 QBs: Gabriel Activated Off IR

Dillon Gabriel is set to return to the Cleveland Browns after being activated from injured reserve on Monday. To accommodate Gabriel, the Browns waived rookie tight end Carsen Ryan, securing their quarterback depth as they lead the AFC North. This decision ensures Gabriel, Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, and Taylen Green all remain on the active roster. Gabriel had been on injured reserve since August 30 with a back injury, and his activation on Monday came just before his 21-day practice window was set to expire, which would have ended his season. He had returned to practice on October 6. This move preserves the team's quarterback options as the November 10 trade deadline approaches, with reports indicating no plans to trade Sanders or Gabriel unless an offer is too strong to refuse. Watson is coming off a strong performance, leading the Browns to a 5-2 record.
