Devils Debut: New Faces Hit the Ice for Home Opener

The New Jersey Devils are set to host the Philadelphia Flyers for their 2026-27 home opener on October 2, 2026. This marks the Flyers' second game of the season, as they aim for their first win and goal after a 7-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 1.

Several players will be making their Devils regular-season debuts. Forward Evan Rodrigues, acquired in an offseason trade, is expected to center the third line. Luke Evangelista, a recent acquisition, is slated to play on the top line, while Amadeus Lombardi will make his NHL debut after spending the last three seasons in the AHL.

Forward Jesper Bratt is a player to watch, with predictions favoring him to score the Devils' first goal of the season. The team's next game is an away match against the New York Islanders on Saturday, October 3, followed by a home game against the Utah Mammoth on Tuesday, October 6.
