Summary
- Broncos won their last Super Bowl in the 2015 season.
- Denver's elite defense secured Super Bowl 50 victory.
- Sean Payton and Bo Nix signal a new era for the team.
The Denver Broncos, a franchise with a rich NFL history, are signaling a resurgence after a decade of inconsistent performance. Following their Super Bowl 50 victory at the end of the 2015 season, marked by an elite defense, the team endured an eight-year playoff drought.
In February 2016, led by an aging Peyton Manning and a dominant defense, the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers. This win was their third Lombardi Trophy, adding to previous victories in 1998 and 1999. Prior to this, their last appearance was a loss in 2013.
With the acquisition of Super Bowl-winning coach Sean Payton in 2023 and the drafting of Bo Nix in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Denver aims to reclaim its status. The Broncos are actively pursuing the No. 1 seed in the 2026 NFL Playoffs.
