Delhi Capitals Eye McGurk & Hope for IPL 2027 Comeback

Delhi Capitals is making strategic moves ahead of the IPL 2027 Player Auction scheduled for December 16 in Goa. With Sourav Ganguly appointed as the new head coach, the franchise has already secured players like Rishabh Pant and Zeeshan Ansari through trades. The team's management has expressed their desire to bring back Australian batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk and West Indian captain Shai Hope, both of whom were previously part of the Delhi Capitals setup.

Jake Fraser-McGurk, who had a strong showing in IPL 2024, is being considered despite a less impactful IPL 2025 season. Shai Hope has been in excellent form in T20 internationals throughout 2026. The team's acquisitions and retained players reflect a new direction under the leadership of JSW Sports, who are now managing the team.
