Defensive Dynamo: Jalen Carter Ranks Among NFL's Elite

As of August 7th, 2025, Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter has been ranked 43rd on the NFL's prestigious Top 100 list for the 2024 season. This marks the first time the young defensive standout has cracked the coveted ranking, having missed out on the list following his rookie year.

Throughout the 2024 season, Carter was a force to be reckoned with, wreaking havoc on opposing offenses. The 24-year-old defensive lineman finished the regular season with a career-high 42 total tackles. His dominant play continued into the postseason, where he added another pair of sacks and was an integral piece in the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

"He's a freaking ball player. This kid is freaking good," said New Orleans Saints center Erik McCoy, who faced off against Carter during the 2024 campaign. "I think his ceiling is being one of the top defensive linemen in the NFL."

As Carter enters his third season in the league, the Eagles will be looking for the young star to continue his upward trajectory and cement his status as one of the most dominant players in professional football.
