Soccer icon David Beckham is eagerly anticipating the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to kick off in North America. With three World Cup appearances himself in 1998, 2002, and 2006, Beckham shared cherished memories from his time on the pitch with ABC News. He vividly recalled scoring his first goal for England in 1998, describing it as a significant personal highlight. Beckham also expressed immense pride in captaining his country during a World Cup, calling it his best memory.

Looking ahead to the 2026 tournament, Beckham is optimistic about England's chances, noting it has been 60 years since their last World Cup win.
