They defeated Belinda Bencic of Switzerland and Flavio Cobolli in a match tiebreak, earning the $1 million first prize.
The final score was 6-3, 1-6, 10-6. This victory marks the first Grand Slam title for both Muchová and Menšík. The event, in its second year, featured many top singles players at its start, including Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and Aryna Sabalenka.
However, the final concluded close to midnight, with most of the 24,000 spectators having left. The USTA achieved its goal of having top singles players in the semifinals, unlike in 2024 when doubles specialists won. This year's finalists included the husband-and-wife duo Elina Svitolina and Gaël Monfils, who lost a semifinal tiebreak.
Muchová and Menšík themselves survived match points in their semifinal tiebreak against Mirra Andreeva and Andrey Rublev. The final, like the semifinals, was a drawn-out affair, lasting five hours. Despite the late hour and dwindling crowd, Menšík sealed the victory with an ace.
