Cubs' Hoby Milner on Rehab Assignment

Chicago Cubs left-handed pitcher Hoby Milner is currently on a rehab assignment with their Triple-A affiliate, Iowa. Milner has been sidelined since June 27 due to appendicitis. Before his injury, he recorded a 3.53 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 18 strikeouts in 35 2/3 innings pitched this season.

Milner, who boasts 10 seasons of Major League Baseball experience and is known for his distinctive side-arm delivery, was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the seventh round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He has since played for several organizations, including the Tampa Bay Rays, Los Angeles Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, and Texas Rangers, before signing a one-year, $3.75 million deal with the Cubs this past offseason.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Cubs are in the midst of a four-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
