Al-Nassr Goalkeeper Bento Benched for Crucial Saudi League Clash
17 Oct
Summary
- Bento, Al-Nassr's Brazil goalkeeper, set to be excluded from squad for upcoming match
- Al-Nassr coach Jorge Jesus to overlook Bento in favor of other goalkeepers
- Teammate Wesley also dropped from Al-Nassr squad for the same game

As of October 17th, 2025, Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr are preparing for their upcoming Saudi Pro League match against Al-Fateh, but they will be without their Brazilian goalkeeper Bento. According to reports, Al-Nassr coach Jorge Jesus has decided to exclude Bento from the squad for this weekend's game.
Bento, who featured for Brazil in their recent 5-0 win over South Korea, has been in and out of the Al-Nassr lineup this season. The 26-year-old has primarily been used in cup competitions, making just a single league appearance so far. With Al-Fateh languishing in 16th place, Jesus has opted to overlook Bento in favor of other goalkeeping options, such as Raghed Najjar and Nawaf Al-Aqidi, who are expected to feature in the match.
In addition to Bento's exclusion, Cristiano Ronaldo's teammate Wesley has also been dropped from the Al-Nassr squad for the Al-Fateh game. The 20-year-old Brazilian youngster, who recently represented his country at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, has yet to feature in the Saudi Pro League this season, with all of his appearances coming in cup competitions.
Despite these changes, Al-Nassr remain top of the Saudi Pro League standings with 12 points from four games, thanks in large part to the impressive performances of Cristiano Ronaldo. The team will be looking to maintain their lead when they take on the struggling Al-Fateh on October 18th.
