Young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 14, is making a temporary transition from the cricket pitch to the classroom. Following his outstanding performance in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026, where he scored a remarkable 175 runs in the final, Sooryavanshi is now focused on his Class 10 board examinations. His school, Podar International School in Samastipur, has confirmed his upcoming exams, starting on February 17.
During the U19 World Cup, Sooryavanshi not only guided India to a record sixth title but also set new benchmarks. He smashed 175 off 80 balls in the final against England, including a record 30 sixes throughout the tournament. He concluded the event as the second-highest run-scorer with 439 runs.
Sooryavanshi's meteoric rise includes breaking multiple records across formats. He became the youngest player in IPL history and achieved the fastest fifty in the league. His aggressive style has seen him set records for youngest and fastest centuries in U19 ODIs, Youth Tests, and domestic tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
