Summary
- Cricket Canada suspended by ICC due to membership obligation breaches.
- Canadian national teams will continue ICC event participation.
- ICC to provide Cricket Canada with reinstatement conditions.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has suspended Cricket Canada from membership effective immediately due to significant breaches of its obligations. This decision was made during the ICC Board meetings in Ahmedabad.
Despite the suspension, the ICC confirmed that Canadian national representative teams will remain eligible to compete in ICC events. Cricket Canada will receive ICC funding for approved national team programs, managed under ICC oversight.
A set of specific reinstatement conditions has been outlined for Cricket Canada to address identified governance and administrative issues. Progress on these conditions will be overseen by the ICC Normalisation Committee.
In other decisions, the ICC Board approved trials for a pink ball in Test matches and updates to playing conditions, including 15-minute intervals in T20Is. The ICC Women's Champions Trophy 2027 has been rescheduled to February 14-28, 2027.
Further initiatives include piloting the Women's Emerging Nations Trophy and establishing a Global Qualifier for ICC Men's T20 World Cups. The Board also noted concerns regarding the expansion of franchise cricket and will form a committee to assess its integration with the international calendar.
