Crawley Town has kicked off the new year with the acquisition of two new players, midfielder Taylor Richards and defender Theo Vassell, who have both signed six-month contracts with the club. These signings aim to strengthen the squad for the remainder of the season.
Taylor Richards, aged 25, brings experience from Manchester City's academy and a spell at Brighton. He had been a free agent since September after being released by Queens Park Rangers, with his last senior match appearance occurring nearly a year ago during a loan with Cambridge United.
The defensive addition, Theo Vassell, aged 28, joins from Barrow, where he scored six goals in 39 appearances last season. Both Richards and Vassell were immediately available for Crawley's away match against Barnet scheduled for Thursday, representing the team's first game of 2026.
