Craig Carton is reportedly finalizing a deal to reclaim the afternoon drive time slot at WFAN, with the change expected to take effect next year. This will be Carton's third engagement with the station, and his second time helming the popular afternoon program, marking a significant shift in the station's programming lineup.
The existing drive-time show, currently hosted by Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber, is slated to move to the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. mid-day slot. Furthermore, Chris McMonigle, an overnight host for WFAN, is considered the front-runner to become Carton's new on-air partner, signaling further adjustments within the station's talent roster.
In conjunction with these changes, the current mid-day program featuring Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata will be removed from the schedule. These shifts indicate a strategic restructuring of WFAN's on-air offerings as they prepare for Carton's highly anticipated return.
