NASCAR's Future: Heim Joins Jordan & Hamlin at 23XI

Corey Heim has officially been signed by 23XI Racing to become a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver starting in the 2027 season. The team, co-owned by NBA icon Michael Jordan and veteran driver Denny Hamlin, made the announcement on May 30, 2026. Heim will join Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace, expanding the team's lineup at NASCAR's premier level.

Hamlin and Jordan had long expressed interest in Heim, with evidence from a lawsuit revealing Jordan's directive to "lock him up." Heim will pilot the No. 35 Toyota, a car that previously featured Riley Herbst. He has been a developmental driver for 23XI since 2024.

Heim's racing career includes significant achievements in lower series. He set a Truck Series record in 2025 with 12 wins in a single season. His success led to a Cup Series debut in 2024, with his best finish being sixth at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Heim's journey began in Legends cars and progressed through various levels, including the CARS Tour and ARCA. He secured multiple wins in these series before moving to the Craftsman Truck Series, where he continued to excel.

"Generational drivers only come by every now and then," Hamlin stated, expressing confidence in Heim's talent. Heim himself shared his lifelong dream of becoming a Cup driver, thanking those who supported his ascent. The team is optimistic about Heim's future and his contribution to 23XI Racing's foundation.
