Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and his family express disappointment and a sense of disrespect regarding recent NFL preseason power rankings for 2026. These rankings have placed the Commanders at a concerning 29th out of 32 teams.

This valuation comes as a surprise to many, given the Commanders' playoff success in 2024. However, the team faced significant struggles in 2025, finishing with a 5-12 record and a defense that ranked poorly in numerous statistical categories.

Pro Football Talk also released its own rankings, placing the Commanders 26th, indicating a widespread lack of respect. The team has since introduced two new coordinators and is actively rebuilding much of its defense, adding context to the low rankings.
