Commanders' London Game: Key Starters Out, Others Uncertain
30 Sep
Summary
- Two starters, Cosmi and Cross, ruled out for Sunday's game.
- Three other starters, Daniels, Okonkwo, and Luvu, may play.
- Depth players like Medrano and Allegretti are stepping up.

The Washington Commanders are grappling with multiple injuries as they prepare for their Week 4 game in London against the Colts. Guard Sam Cosmi and safety Nick Cross have been officially ruled out for the matchup. Both players sustained injuries in Week 2 and did not travel with the team.
Despite these absences, three other key starters have traveled and are slated to participate in practice this week. Quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow), tight end Chig Okonkwo (hamstring), and linebacker Frankie Luvu (groin) are all considered possibilities for Sunday's game.
If Daniels is unable to play, Marcus Mariota is expected to start at quarterback. Should Luvu be sidelined, Kain Medrano, who recently scored a touchdown, would see increased playing time alongside rookie Sonny Styles. With Cosmi out, Nick Allegretti is set to start at right guard.
