Quarterback Daniel Jones has officially re-signed with the Indianapolis Colts, agreeing to a two-year contract worth $88 million, with incentives potentially raising the total to $100 million. This deal signifies the Colts' strong belief in Jones as their franchise quarterback, despite his 2025 season ending prematurely due to a torn Achilles.

During the 2025 season, Jones demonstrated effectiveness before his injury, throwing for 3,101 yards, 19 touchdowns, and adding five rushing touchdowns. The Colts offense performed exceptionally well with him leading the charge. His contract includes substantial guaranteed money, underscoring the team's confidence in his recovery and future performance.

Looking ahead to the 2026 season, the Colts' offense will see Alec Pierce step into a leading role as the primary wide receiver, following the departure of Michael Pittman Jr. Tight end Tyler Warren is also expected to be a key target, particularly on shorter routes, and Joshua Downs will continue as the slot receiver.

The ground game will be anchored by Jonathan Taylor, who is expected to maintain a high volume of carries. DJ Giddens is the current favorite to serve as the backup running back. The team's heavy reliance on the run game when Jones was active is anticipated to continue.
