- Chandler followed coach Mark Pope from BYU to Kentucky.
- Chandler was a 4-star recruit and Mr. Basketball in 2022.

Collin Chandler, a former standout player for Mark Pope at Kentucky, has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Reports indicate he has also placed a "do not contact" designation on his entry, suggesting a potential new team is already in mind. Chandler originally committed to BYU in November 2021. He then served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before following Pope to Kentucky in 2024. During his two seasons with the Wildcats, Chandler appeared in 66 games. As a sophomore this past year, he averaged 9.7 points per game and shot an impressive 41% from beyond the arc. Chandler was a highly-touted recruit, rated as a 4-star prospect and the No. 6 combo guard nationally in his class. He also earned Deseret News Mr. Basketball honors in 2022. Given his Utah roots, BYU's need for offensive firepower, and the departure of Rob Wright III, the Cougars may pursue Chandler for a potential reunion.
