ESPN's College GameDay is set to broadcast live from Salt Lake City this Saturday for a critical Week 8 Big 12 conference game. This matchup involves two highly-ranked teams with significant implications for the College Football Playoff race. The event marks the second time this season College GameDay has visited the Big 12.
Utah, the home team, arrives undefeated for the first time since 2015, showcasing a perfect record through six games. Their opponent, Houston, has also had a strong season, with their only blemish being a narrow two-point loss to Texas Tech. A victory for either team would provide a substantial boost in the competitive Big 12 championship picture.
The game is crucial for both programs as they aim to solidify their national standing. While Utah's offense has shown signs of slowing in recent weeks, this represents their toughest test of the season. Houston, on the other hand, cannot afford another conference loss if they aim to contend for the Big 12 title.
