Coimbatore buzzed with activity on Sunday, December 7, 2025, as two major marathons took place, highlighting community spirit and health awareness. The sixth Edition of the Run for Wheels Marathon, organized by Ganga Hospital and Sittruli Foundation, drew nearly 850 participants, notably including 150 wheelchair users. This inclusive event aimed to bridge the gap between able-bodied and para-athletes across various race categories.
Following this, the Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) held its 29th annual KMCH Kovai Marathon. This event, focused on paediatric cardiac care, attracted over 4,000 participants, comprising doctors, nurses, medical professionals, and students. The 16 km run underscored the importance of supporting child heart health initiatives.
