His loan spell with Coventry City proved successful, with Esse scoring two goals and providing an assist in 17 appearances, significantly aiding their promotion to the Premier League. Despite this performance, new Crystal Palace boss Pierre Sage does not appear to include him in his plans for the upcoming season, which includes Europa League commitments.
