CJ Allen: The Defensive Heartbeat You Need Now

CJ Allen, a highly-touted former four-star recruit, exemplifies an elite competitor with an ideal football mind for the linebacker position. He showcases intelligence, discipline, and fundamental soundness, complemented by above-average speed.

During the 2025 season, Allen recorded 39 STOPs and 13 pressures. He concluded his college career with 1,610 defensive snaps and 46 pressures. His prowess earned him Consensus All-American and First-Team All-SEC honors in 2025.

Allen is an excellent tackler who understands game situations and maintains a clean chest against offensive linemen. While not possessing difference-making athletic ability and showing some tightness in his lower half, which slightly impacts coverage, he remains a reliable player in that aspect.

Teams looking for immediate defensive impact will find Allen to be a vital presence. He is described as a heartbeat of the defense, ready to step in and contribute from day one.
