Hoy's Double Blow: Broken Leg Amid Cancer Battle

Sir Chris Hoy, the renowned six-time Olympic cycling champion, has disclosed that he recently suffered a significant leg fracture during a mountain biking incident. This injury compounds his ongoing battle with stage 4 prostate cancer, a diagnosis he revealed in late 2024 with a prognosis of two to four years.

Hoy, 49, has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment for his cancer. He described the leg break as the worst crash he has experienced in 43 years of cycling, leaving him on crutches. Despite this, he expressed his intention to attend the final of the PDC World Darts Championship in the near future.

Despite the grim prognosis, Hoy shared that his condition has stabilized thanks to ongoing treatment, highlighting faith in scientific advancements. He aims to live life to the fullest, emphasizing that the accident, while unfortunate, is part of life's unpredictability.
