14 Oct
Summary
- Chloe Kelly, Euro 2022 hero, headlines England squad
- Lucy Bronze returns after playing Euros with leg fracture
- First call-ups for Arsenal's Katie Reid and Taylor Hinds

In the aftermath of their historic European Championship victory last July, the England women's national team, the Lionesses, are preparing for their next challenges. Chloe Kelly, the hero who scored the winning penalty against Spain in the final, headlines the squad selected by manager Sarina Wiegman for two upcoming international friendlies this month.
Alongside Kelly, defender Lucy Bronze is also making a return to the team. Bronze had revealed that she played through the Euros with a leg fracture, showcasing the team's resilience and determination. However, captain Leah Williamson, as well as forwards Lauren Hemp and Lauren James, remain sidelined with injuries.
The Lionesses will host South American champions Brazil on October 25 in Manchester, followed by a match against Australia on October 28 in Derby. These fixtures are part of the team's "Homecoming Series" as they look to build on their recent success.
The squad also features two first-time call-ups, with Arsenal duo Katie Reid and Taylor Hinds earning their maiden international selections. Additionally, uncapped Aston Villa midfielder Lucia Kendall has been included in Wiegman's roster.
