Summary
- JJ Watt highlighted the Chiefs' improved running game and play-action effectiveness.
- Kenneth Walker is a key weapon, contributing to the dominant run game.
- The Chiefs are 3-0 this season, showing significant improvement from last year.
The Kansas City Chiefs are enjoying a dominant start to the 2026/27 NFL season, achieving a 3-0 record.
Former NFL star JJ Watt recently commented on the team's resurgence, emphasizing the crucial role of their running game. He specifically highlighted the impact of running back Kenneth Walker and how the improved ground attack has significantly boosted their play-action success.
Watt believes this balanced offensive approach, enabling the Chiefs to execute running, play-action, and passing at a high level, makes them nearly impossible to defend. He also credited offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy for instilling this dominant strategy.
With Patrick Mahomes continuing to recover from injury, Watt anticipates the quarterback will become an even greater weapon, further enhancing the Chiefs' already formidable offense. The team is preparing to face the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend.
