Chelsea Could Sell Fernandez to Man City

Chelsea is reportedly considering a sale of their midfielder, Enzo Fernandez, to Manchester City, provided the financial terms are acceptable and the club can first acquire new midfield talent. This comes after Manchester City missed an August 14 deadline to submit a £120 million offer for the Argentine international.

Fernandez was notably absent from Chelsea's Carabao Cup victory on Thursday, with manager Xabi Alonso stating a decision on his availability for the upcoming Premier League match would be made later. City, despite the missed deadline, continues to pursue Fernandez as they rebuild their midfield after the departures of key players like Rodri and Bernardo Silva.

Chelsea is actively identifying potential replacements, reportedly looking at players such as Alex Scott and Adam Wharton, though their current clubs are reluctant to sell. Roma's Manu Kone is also on Chelsea's radar. Manchester City has already made significant midfield acquisitions, including Ayyoub Bouaddi and Elliot Anderson, in response to their own squad changes.
