Charlotte FC secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Orlando City on Saturday, significantly impacting the visitors' playoff aspirations. The home team established an early lead in the sixth minute with Henry Kessler's header, set up by Ashley Westwood's free-kick.

Following the initial goal, Charlotte FC extended their dominance in the second half. Allan Saint-Maximin doubled the lead in the 49th minute with a skillful solo effort. Newcomer Abdoulaye Doucoure then scored in his debut after Saint-Maximin's penalty was saved, and Rodolfo Aloko sealed the scoring in stoppage time.

The win was not without incident, as Saint-Maximin received a red card late in the match and will miss an upcoming game. Orlando City, whose five-game unbeaten streak ended, must wait longer to secure their playoff berth.
