9 Jun
Summary
- Jose Mourinho's arrival has revitalized Dani Ceballos' belief in staying.
- Ceballos was previously close to a move to Ajax this summer.
- The midfielder's contract with Real Madrid extends until June 2027.
Dani Ceballos, who appeared set to depart Real Madrid weeks ago, is now contemplating remaining at the club. His potential move to Ajax was gaining momentum after another season on the sidelines.
The appointment of Jose Mourinho has significantly altered the landscape for Ceballos. The midfielder, frustrated by limited playing time, reportedly believes a new manager presents a fresh opportunity.
Ceballos is now eager to impress Mourinho and secure a spot in the upcoming season's squad. His current contract with Real Madrid is valid until June 2027.
This contract situation means Ceballos could become a free agent in the future, potentially fulfilling his dream of returning to his boyhood club, Real Betis, without a transfer fee.
