- A fan vote will determine top players for 2026.
Caylee Mitchell from Bartow has officially earned the title of The Ledger's 2025 Girls Bowler of the Year. This award recognizes her outstanding performance in the sport.
Mitchell's journey to the top is notable, as she is considered a late starter in bowling, discovering her potential later in her athletic development. This contrasts with some peers who have dedicated their lives to the sport since childhood.
She follows in the footsteps of Kathleen's Mason Griffin, who was the 2025 Boys Bowler of the Year for the second consecutive year before graduating. Mitchell will aim to replicate Griffin's success in the upcoming seasons.
As the bowling community looks ahead, a fan vote is currently open to determine the top male and female players for 2026. This vote, which typically culminates around the state championships in late October, will close on Friday, September 11th, at 8 p.m.
