Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson has provided an optimistic update on the injury status of two key players, Darius Garland and Jaylon Tyson.
Darius Garland, an All-Star point guard, is reportedly very close to rejoining the team. He has participated in various on-court drills, including three-on-three and some five-on-five scrimmages. Garland has had a challenging season, having undergone offseason toe surgery and suffering a subsequent setback.
Jaylon Tyson is also nearing a return after being sidelined with a concussion since November 10. He participated in Wednesday's shootaround, and the team is hopeful for his return as early as Friday. Tyson has been averaging 11.1 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 11 games played this season.
