Harden Leads Short-Handed Cavs
3 Mar
Summary
- Donovan Mitchell is out with a groin strain.
- James Harden will play despite a thumb fracture.
- Several players from both teams are in the G League.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to host the Detroit Pistons in a matchup between two Eastern Conference teams on Tuesday night. Cleveland has been on an upward trajectory since acquiring James Harden at the trade deadline last month.
However, the Cavaliers will be without star player Donovan Mitchell, who has been ruled out due to a right groin strain. Mitchell has missed the last three games. Harden and Evan Mobley will be expected to carry a heavier load for Cleveland, even with Harden managing his own right thumb fracture.
Several other Cavaliers players, including Darius Brown and Riley Minix, are unavailable as they are currently playing in the G League. The Pistons also have several players with uncertain availability, including Bobi Klintman, Chaz Lanier, and Tolu Smith, who are tagged as questionable. Isaac Jones and Wendell Moore Jr. are listed as out, also due to G League assignments.
