Summary
- Cash Herrera committed to Boise State on December 2nd.
- He previously decommitted from Iowa and Indiana.
- Herrera was part of an ironic QB swap with Boise State.

Three-star quarterback Cash Herrera, originally committed to Iowa, has now committed to Boise State, marking the end of a turbulent recruiting saga. The 6-foot-3, 207-pound recruit from La Jolla, California, made his decision public on December 2nd, following a series of commitments and decommitments.
Herrera's path included an initial commitment to Iowa on October 3rd, followed by a decommitment on July 16th. He then pledged to Indiana on July 22nd, but again decommitted on November 20th, ultimately choosing Boise State. This sequence of events has created an ironic quarterback swap between Iowa and Boise State.
This swap became apparent when four-star quarterback Tradon Bessinger committed to Iowa on November 8th, after withdrawing his pledge from Boise State. While Iowa fans may view this as a victory, Herrera will join a competitive quarterback group at Boise State, including fellow 2026 recruit Jackson Taylor.
