USA's Olympic Bronze Medalist to Debut in Indian Archery League

The second season of the Archery Premier League is set to commence in Hyderabad on October 8, featuring an impressive lineup of 12 international archers. Among them is Paris Olympic bronze medalist Casey Kaufhold from the USA, who will be making her APL debut. She expressed excitement about the challenge of the 15-second shot clock and competing alongside world-class athletes in India.

Joining Kaufhold are renowned archers such as Olympic medalists Mete Gazoz of Turkey and Alejandra Valencia of Mexico, both participants from the inaugural season. World No. 2 Mike Schloesser and World No. 1 compound archer Andrea Becerra are also returning. The 11-day tournament will also see the participation of Season 1 standout Mathias Fullerton, Mexico's Matias Grande, and Spain's Elia Canales.

Anil Kamineni, Director of APL, stated that the league's ambition is to establish India as a significant destination on the international archery circuit by attracting top global talent. Other notable international participants include Colombia's World No. 3 compound archer Alejandra Usquiano and Brazil's world number one Marcus D'Almeida, who are also set to make their APL debuts.
