Cardinals Brace for Packers' Dominant RB Josh Jacobs in 2025 Clash

As the NFL continues to reveal its annual Top 100 players list for the 2025 season, the Arizona Cardinals have three representatives on the prestigious ranking. Linebacker Josh Sweat comes in at #95, tight end Trey McBride is ranked #65, and safety Budda Baker makes the list for the sixth consecutive year, landing at #34.

Beyond their own players, the Cardinals will also face several standouts from opposing teams on their 2025 schedule. One such player is Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, who was ranked #33 on the Top 100 list. Jacobs, who was not in the top 100 last year, had a breakout 2024 campaign in his first season with the Packers, rushing for 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns. His teammates and opponents alike have taken notice of his dominant abilities, with Falcons RB Bijan Robinson calling him someone who "can do it all" and Texans LB E.J. Speed describing him as "the most difficult running back to play."

The Cardinals will have their hands full when they face Jacobs and the Packers in Week 7 at State Farm Stadium. After struggling to contain Jacobs in their previous two matchups, the Cardinals will look to their revamped defensive front to try and slow down the star running back in 2025.
