Capitals' Playoff Hopes Reignited: Three-Game Win Streak!

The Washington Capitals are making a late-season push for the playoffs, fueled by a surprising three-game winning streak. Fresh off a 6-4 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers, their postseason aspirations have dramatically improved. This recent success places them just three points behind the second wild card position in the Eastern Conference.

Tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils is critical for the Capitals' playoff chances. They previously defeated the Devils 2-1 twelve days ago. While Washington trails by three points, the teams ahead of them, including Ottawa, Detroit, and Philadelphia, hold games in hand. Coach Spencer Carbery will utilize the same lineup that faced Philadelphia, with Logan Thompson once again starting in goal for the Capitals. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 pm, with the game broadcast on ESPN+.
