BYU Basketball begins its exhibition season by hosting Nebraska at the Marriott Center this Friday at 7 p.m. MT, with the game broadcast on ESPN+. This matchup follows last year's close exhibition in Lincoln, where Nebraska narrowly defeated BYU 90-89.

BYU recently dominated Long Beach State in a closed scrimmage, winning 102-53. Rob Wright and Bruce Branch were standout performers, each scoring 20 points in that contest. Nebraska, conversely, lost their exhibition opener to Saint Louis by a score of 79-74. However, exhibition games often feature experimental lineups, making direct comparisons challenging.

Advanced analytics place both teams closely, with BYU ranking 33rd on KenPom and Nebraska at 16th. Both teams are expected to be competitive, though Nebraska lost four starters from their Sweet Sixteen squad. They return key players like forward Pryce Sandfort and guard Braden Frager, alongside new transfers.
