The German Football League (DFL) will release the full schedule for the 2026/27 Bundesliga season on July 2nd. However, it is already confirmed that Borussia Dortmund (BVB) will play an away match against Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen on Matchday 12, scheduled for December 4-6, 2026. The return fixture will see Schalke visit the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on Matchday 29, taking place between April 9-11, 2027.
The Revierderby remains one of German football's most passionate rivalries. In their most recent encounters during the 2022/23 season, BVB secured a 1-0 victory at home, followed by a 2-2 draw in the away fixture. BVB has demonstrated dominance in recent years, winning four out of the last five Bundesliga derbies against Schalke.
