Butler Questionable: Illness Clouds Sunday Game
29 Nov, 2025
Summary
- Defensive tackle Butler is questionable for Sunday's game.
- He missed practice Thursday due to illness.
- Booker and Pegues could see increased snaps if he's out.
Butler, a key defensive tackle, faces uncertainty regarding his participation in the upcoming Sunday game against the Chargers. He is currently listed as questionable due to an illness that prevented him from practicing on Thursday. Despite the setback, Butler was able to engage in limited practice on Friday, suggesting a potential recovery.
If Butler cannot clear the necessary protocols to play on Sunday, the team anticipates an increased role for defensive linemen Thomas Booker and JJ Pegues. Both players are expected to absorb additional snaps within the defensive line rotation to compensate for Butler's potential absence.
The situation highlights the impact of player health on team strategy, particularly as the Chargers game approaches. The team will continue to monitor Butler's condition closely leading up to game time.
